My fitness journey began in Novemeber of 2020 after nearly 8 months of pandemic quarantines, cancelled shows and more. It was like life had been cancelled. I was going to school online, gyms were closed, and with no shows, I was sitting.... a lot. I had been on 1000 diets and 'tried' just as many workout ideas. Nothing would stick or work for more than a month or so. My weight was up and down and I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. My back hurt. My hands were swollen every morning. My doctor wanted me on hormones and thyroid medication. I conveniently blamed years of gymnastics for my hips, shoulders and wrists hurting all the time. My husband and I were SO unhealthy and always on some 'easy new fad diet'. We got very little activity and other than cutting grass in the summer and loading equipment for gigs, we rarely broke a good sweat.
I knew we needed more than just change. We needed a new mindset. A complete lifestyle overhaul.
I knew that my sister-in-law had been doing something. I didn't ask... she didn't push. Finally at our family Thanksgiving (after missing Easter, Mothers day, Fathers day, 4th of July and more!) I couldn't deny that everything about her had changed. Her body, skin, hair... her eyes looked brighter... so, I finally asked. "What are you doing?"
I reluctantly joined thinking, "well, there went a bunch of money for something I'll never do". I had tried at-home workouts before. No motivation. No accountability.
But this was different... full support... nutrition, program, accountability, personal development... wait!! This is full lifestyle support! Hang on!! I can do this!!
Fast forward 6 months, and I'm a Coach helping others the way my sister-in-law helped me!
Besides accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior, this has been the best decision I've ever made! Let's also note that my husband is now a Coach too. Getting Healthy is contagious! After years of excuses, we're doing this!!
